When it comes to voices, trust me, I’ve heard it all.
Voice problems can affect every aspect of life, personal and professional. I have witnessed the devastation of voice loss (and I mean TOTAL voice loss). For professional voice users, this can make or break a career.
I understand the joy that comes with regaining a voice and reaching those dream vocal goals… And I can help you achieve yours!
When it comes to voice acting coaching, I’m the complete package. A fellow voice actor, performance vocal coach and clinically qualified voice therapist with over 20 years experience, I’ve used my own speech therapy and vocal training to build my voiceover business and now I’m excited to help you do the same.
Your voice is your most powerful tool. It can tell your story, connect you with the world, build relationships and help you become truly independent as both a voice actor and human being.
If you’re looking for a vocal coach to help you deliver the ultimate voice acting performance, fix unhelpful vocal habits or help you discover the voice you didn’t know you had – then I’d love to hear from you and be part of your vocal journey.
Voiceover may be my first love, but a close second is my work as a vocal coach. Helping voiceovers, actors, singers and other professional voice users find their authentic voices and progress in their career.
My combined experience as a voice actor, classically trained singer and speech therapist has has given me the skills to allow me to cultivate, heal, strengthen and protect your voice both clinically and artistically.
It’s not about making you into someone else. Your voice is unique and it’s that uniqueness that I want to draw out and share with the world!
I have worked in the NHS for over 20 years as a qualified Speech & Language Therapist, specialising in voice.
But this is more than just a job for me. I believe our voices are part of our identity, how we present ourselves to the world and how the world perceives us.
By working with a clinically qualified and experienced voice therapist, you are collaborating with someone who understands just how important your voice is to you.
Whether you simply want to improve your public speaking, break out of bad vocal habits or fight back against total voice loss – I’m here for you!
I am a qualified and experienced Speech & Language Therapist specialising in voice, having worked in the NHS and privately for over 20 years.
I first trained at Manchester University, graduating in Speech & Language Pathology and Therapy BSc (Hons).
I am a full member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT), as well as acting as an official advisor in upper airway and clinical voice disorders for the organisation.
I am also certified by Health & Care Professions Coucil (HCPC).
I'm always developing my training as I continue to work in busy NHS Voice Clinics weekly, helping to heal and improve voices. I keep myself up to date on the latest developments and research as part of my clinical registration.
I like to think that I'm the complete package, providing the perfect blend of professional and performance experience. I'm not only a clinically qualified voice therapist, but also a fellow voice actor, performer and vocal coach; so you are in the safest of hands when you work with someone who relies on their voice for every aspect of their life.
This is the old "how long is a piece of string" question.
Everyone's goals are different, so there's no set time that coaching needs to be. It's for this reason why I provide free initial consultations so I can fully understand your goals and what you want to achieve.
It could be the case that you simply want a vocal tune-up and a single session with me is all you need to give you the confidence to continue your training on your own.
It could be the case that you overstrain your vocal cords during performances and you need regular check-ins and advice over full sessions.
Depending on your budget, goals and requirements, I always ensure that I keep things flexible so we build a coaching package that works for you and allows you to progress to your goals, rather than simply selling you as many sessions as I can.
Absolutely I do!
In fact, all of my coaching clients begin with a free consultation so I can fully understand your goals before we book in a single session.
I understand that everyone isn't comfortable with appearing on video, so for our intial chat you can choose to talk to me via phone call or online meeting (with your camera off if needed).
This gives us the perfect opportunity to not only understand your struggles and goals, because it's more important than anything that you have the right connection with your coach.
Our initial consultation will give you a chance to decide whether my approach is the one for you!
The easiest way for us to get started is simply send me a message using my form below and tell me a little bit about what you need to achieve from vocal coaching. I can then book us in for a free consultation and I can learn everything about you from there.
All my vocal coaching sessions are done online via Zoom or Teams, with my sessions lasting about an 30 minutes to an hour depending on what you need.
During this time we'll review your goals and focus on the primary exercises and training, so you get the most from every session.
I like to keep things flexible, so I'm happy to book in blocks of sessions, or simply book them as and when you need them.
All my sessions will be coupled with additional support and advice outside of the sessions, so you'll always have something to be working on to achieve your objectives.
Rome wasn't built in a day, so I don't expect your voice to be built in an hour!
My experience as a speech and language therapist allows me to create personalised and effective vocal exercises and routines for you to practice independently between our sessions, so you hit your goals faster.
And of course, you know my number and email, so I'm always around to help you with any emergencies or further questions you might have.
Never be afraid to ask!
There is no such thing as a stupid question!
Ask...And ask again!
Working with a vocal coach or speech therapist is an incredibly personal thing, so I want to make sure you're completely comfortable with me and are ready to let me take part in your vocal journey.
If you have any questions at all (there's no question that is too basic), then you can scroll down to my contact information below.
There you can send me a message using my form, or contact me directly by email at karenespositovo@gmail.com, or give me a ring on +44 (0)7789773796
